On Monday, 27/07/2026, H.E. Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region, received H.E. Mr. Dominika Kovac, acting Consul General of Hungary.
During the meeting، the importance of Hungary's relations with the Kurdistan Region was discussed، especially in the development and further coordination of relations and joint work between them in order to improve the political situation and maintain security in the region.
The two sides exchanged views on the internal political situation in the Kurdistan Region and efforts to form a new Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG) cabinet. Regarding the outstanding issues in Erbil and Baghdad، they stressed the need to resolve the issues through dialogue and within the framework of the constitution.
