Kurdistan Region's vice president, Sheikh Jaffar Shekh Mustafa issued a statement following the Abdulla Ocalan's peace statement.

"The announcement of the message of peace by the imprisoned leader of the PKK، Mr. Abdullah Ocalan، is a source of happiness for the Kurds of all four parts of Kurdistan and is warmly welcomed.
I hope that Turkey will respond positively to the message of peace announced by Emrali and that there will be no obstacles to the process، because this process is a necessary calm and appropriate ground and will include several stages، and I hope that both sides will take steps with the utmost sincerity to build trust with each other and reach the shore of peace and stability in the region."
