On Monday, 22/09/2025, His Excellency Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region, received His Excellency Colonel Sebastian Klink, Commander of the German Allied Forces, and an accompanying delegation.
During the meeting، the latest changes and the security situation in the region، the continuation of German military assistance to the Peshmerga، the unity between the political parties and the process of reform and reunification of the Peshmerga were discussed.
In another part of the meeting، the dangers posed by ISIS to the region، as well as joint work and further coordination between coalition forces، the Peshmerga and the Iraqi army were discussed. In this regard، the Vice President considered the role of the international coalition forces against Daesh in order to maintain peace and stability in the region as necessary and effective.
For their part، the visiting delegation spoke with interest in the cooperation between their countries with the Kurdistan Region and Iraq and stressed the continuation of their military support to the Peshmerga.
