On Wednesday, 26/02/2025, in the presence of Mr. Sheikh Jaafar Sheikh Mustafa, Vice President of the Kurdistan Region, Steven Bittner, Consul General of the United States in the Kurdistan Region, Lieutenant General Issa Ozer, Chief of Staff of the Ministry of Peshmerga, Major General Omar Salah, Commander of the 70th Forces, and Major General Mariwan Mohammad Amin, Commander of the 2nd Peshmerga Support Forces, a number of new heavy weapons were trained and tested in the training field by officers and Peshmerga.
The Vice President thanked the coalition forces، especially the United States، for their continued cooperation and support and for providing modern weapons to the Peshmerga forces، stressing that the continuation of training on such weapons and new technologies will bring the military capabilities of the Ministry of Peshmerga and the Kurdistan Peshmerga to the stage of building military capabilities and upgrading the art of fighting and defense.
