Bafel Jalal Talabani، President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) welcomed the Emrali delegation led by Mrs. Parveen Buldan and Sri Surya Önder in Dabashan.
In the meeting، which was attended by Qubad Talabani، a member of the Politburo، the Imrali delegation conveyed the greetings and respect and message of Mr. Abdullah Öcalan to President Bafel Jalal Talabani and explained their decisions، policies and options on the political events in the region، the issue of peace in Turkey and their talks with Mr. Abdullah Öcalan.
In addition to warmly welcoming them، President Bafel openly expressed his views and the strategy of the PUK on the new phase of peace in Turkey and said: "We support any initiative that protects the rights of our people in Turkey، and as the PUK we will help to succeed this historic effort، the cornerstone of which was laid by President Mam Jalal in 1993."
The head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) said that until the Kurdish issue is resolved، the region will not achieve peace and tranquility، as we have said that the Kurdish issue will not be solved by weapons and war، and there will be no result، because the only option is to return to serious dialogue. We hope that we will all work diligently to seize this historic opportunity on the basis of partnership، brotherhood and longing for peace and stability.
President Jalal Talabani said in another part of his speech: "We believe in brotherhood and peaceful coexistence، we will never be a threat to any of our neighboring countries,"
He added, "Today we will take the initiative to overcome the language of dialogue instead of threats، we extend the hand of brotherhood to all parties، and we hope that there will be a serious intention to strengthen the brotherhood of Kurds and Turks and make this national effort a success."
