On Tuesday 12/11/2024, Saadi Ahmed Pira, a member of the Political Bureau and spokesman of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK), received Mr. Andrew Beasley, Consul General of the United Kingdom to the Kurdistan Region, and a number of diplomats from the Consulate.
In a meeting between the two sides، they focused on the political situation in Iraq and the region in general and the Kurdistan Region in particular.
Saadi Ahmad Pira stressed that the people of Kurdistan participated in the elections with gratitude and put the political parties under a great responsibility to form a parliament and an effective government with the aim of providing more prosperity and a bright future for all the people of Kurdistan. There will be political and economic stability in the next government، which will make us look stronger and more united in front of the central government of Iraq.
Mr. Andrew Beasley stated that the British people and government look at the Kurdistan Region and its position in the region with great importance and congratulate the success of the election process and hope that the political forces and parties reach a common point and accelerate the formation of the new Kurdistan Regional Government.
