The President of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) Bafel Jalal Talabani received Alicia Rico Pérez del Pulgar، the new Ambassador of the Kingdom of Spain to Iraq.
In a meeting attended by Darbaz Kosrat Rasool، head of the Communications Bureau، the situation in the Kurdistan Region and relations between Erbil and Baghdad were discussed، and they stressed the need to abide by the constitution and resolve the issues.
President Bafel Jalal Talabani congratulated him on his inauguration as the new ambassador of Spain and wished him success in his duties and reiterated the Union's support for the success of his work. He said this would be an important step forward for the development and expansion of relations between the two countries.
During the meeting، President Bafel talked about the new political and governance phase in the Kurdistan Region and pointed out that our people need more services and a dignified life than autocracy and discrimination، so the next government will undoubtedly be formed with a different vision and a new strategy، and its goal will only be to strengthen our region and serve the people.
