The political bureau of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan (PUK) met under the chairmanship of Bafel Jalal Talabani، the head of the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan.
The meeting was held today (22-10-2024) at the new headquarters of the Politburo in Slemani and discussed the results of the last Kurdistan parliamentary elections held on 20/10/2024 in the four provinces of the Kurdistan Region.
In addition to congratulating the people of Kurdistan on the success of the election process and their remarkable participation in the voting process، the Politburo congratulated and thanked the comrades of PUK and the struggling candidates and the loyal people of the Martyrs Party who recorded great success in doubling the votes of PUK and with their enthusiastic campaign headed by president Bafel. They were able to embody the message of correcting the path of governance and creating a balance of power and the truth of the right speech of their union, reiterating that this message will also be the roadmap for the future policy of the PUK in the democratic and renewal of the political process and the system of governance in all spheres، all of which will serve the lives and livelihoods of our people.
The meeting of the Politburo after a comprehensive evaluation of the electoral process and decision-making of initiatives and wise policies for the goals، at the same time recommended the institutions with the same high spirit of PUK to prepare for the next elections in Iraq from now on and to consolidate their party's victories in the democratic processes in Kirkuk and the Kurdistan Region with greater victories in Iraq.
